I've got a JVC 12-CD MP3 changer in my daily driver... You can fit MUCH MORE than 20 songs on a CD-R!

I have one CD-R that has like 8 or 9 full CDs on it. The disc has folders for each artist, then subfolders for the individual albums, which then contain the songs from the album. Everything was encoded using CDDB for song info, so the artist and title, etc. scrolls on the head unit when I play an MP3!

It's really cool... :D

I use Audiograbber [link disabled] to rip CDs & encode them into MP3. Then, I use Nero Burning Rom (CLICK HERE) to burn the CD-Rs.

Audiograbber has CDDB access so you can get artist/album/title info for the songs before encoding them as MP3. It's not illegal to copy a CD if you own the original, and aren't distributing the copy. It simply enables you to listen to your CD in MP3 format. I have a bunch of CDs that have never seen an actual CD player - just went straight into the PC, got ripped, encoded and buned, then put away in new condition!

You could get involved with peer-to-peer filesharing, like Kazaa or Morpheus, but be careful! These have almost any song to download, but it does involve redistributing copyrighted material!

Just for those interested:

If I have 12 700mb CD-Rs in the changer, each filled with MP3's around 3mb each, the changer can contain well over 2500 songs! Thats about 150 CD's worth of music...

This totally eliminates having to lug around a CD collection or have my visors heavy with a bunch of CD's (getting scratched!), which all risk being stolen...
