door lock confusion
I own a 1998 Dodge Ram Full size pickup and bought a alarm/remote start, for it made by suntop, the fm-a3. I have everything working the only thing I
am confused about is the way to wire the doors since my truck didnt come with remote keyless, I have read I need to use a relay for reverse polarity.
The thing I am confused about is that I have 3 wire coming out of the alarm for locking and 3 for unlocking,so which to use for the purpose of
unlocking and locking the doors.

It's possible that the system had these 'extra' wires for driver's door priority or for compatibility with manual transmissions. I have seen some
unique stuff from China...
Please post the wire colors and descriptions from the manual for these wires...

for lock it has "nc" orange, "com" white, "no" yellow. for unlock it has "nc" orange/black, "com" white/black, "no" yellow/black.
then it has some diagrams with the same wires in different diagrams for negative type, reverse polarity, positive type, air operated central door
locks, motor operated central door locks. I just would want to know which configuration would work with my truck and how to connect it to the door
locks

The 1998 Dodge Ram uses 'Reversal Rest at Ground' wiring for the factory power locks. You'll need to access the Orange/Purple and Pink/Purple wires in
the 10 pin connector located in the access hole in the driver's kick panel.
1 - Cut the wires (one at a time)
2 - Note which ends of each wire go to the door (switch side), and which ends go to the vehicle (motor side).
3 - Connect them as follows:
Alarm wire -- Vehicle wire
Orange -- Orange/Purple (switch side)
White -- Orange/Purple (motor side)
Yellow -- 12v constant (fused)
Orange/Black -- Pink/Purple (switch side)
White/Black -- Pink/Purple (motor side)
Yellow/Black -- 12v constant (fused)
Your alarm has built-in relays, and the NC/COM/NO correspond to the switched contacts of a SPDT relay (NC = Normally Closed, COM = Common, NO =
Normally Open)
>>REMEMBER: Always fuse positive wiring, and check your connections with a meter.<<
Hope this info is what you needed...
